Watch Party- Adarna: A Contemporary Adaptation To A Popular Filipino Folk Tale

In 2012, FAPANC produced Adarna, a contemporary adaptation of a popular Filipino folk tale, at the Cary Cultural Arts Center. It is the story of a magical bird with healing powers (ADARNA), an ailing king and three princes that sought to bring back the bird to heal their father. The adventure is laced with drama, compassion and betrayal but the beauty of the production is how the story is told in a stew of storytelling, song and dance.

Re-live this groundbreaking presentation with us on Saturday, May 1 at 7:00 pm. The video will be streamed on Facebook Live, with commentaries by Director Yael PIneda-Hall and some of the artists who performed 9 years ago!
